the aim of the project was to redesign the wastelands of Hardturmbrache Zürich into a new center with a market hall, a forum for gatherings and a greenhouse. inspired by the informal neighbouring gardens in the area, We decided to include public cultivation spaces, transforming the area into an urban gardening hub. with an enfilade of indoor and outdoor spaces, the structure merges with the landscape. the market is covered by Concrete barrel vaults supported by diagonal struts, contrasting with the lightness of the steel vaulted frame used for the greenhouses. The local production would be sold in the market, promoting shorter delivery routes.
