Visitors discover nine different installations inside a former hydraulic filter repurposed into a cultural space, located in bruderholz basel. Guided by allan lightman’s quotes, visitors interact with the space, light, or sound. The story of the space ‘s century in use can be seen with visual traces and felt trough the humidity.
Reflecting surfaces symbolise the different contortions of time and places the visitors as protagonists by projecting them into another time dimension. As the space unfolds, time starts gets increasingly distorted before slowly dissolving into sand dust. Visitors can then play with this time texture and create their own interpretations of einstein’s dreams, which they can listen to after going through the different installations.
The role of the visitors on their physical environment will hopefully trigger their imagination and offer new perspectives on how to define time in their daily life’s. if we can shape our space, why not our time ?
